FAQ

You Ask, We Answer

Do you accept insurance?

No. We are a private-pay, out-of-network practice. This allows us to deliver higher-quality, one-on-one care without the restrictions of insurance networks. Your healing shouldn’t be dictated by arbitrary visit limits, diagnosis codes, or insurance company approval.

Working outside of insurance means we can treat the whole person, not just what’s “approved.” You get more time, more attention, and more progress in fewer visits. Insurance often only reimburses for reactive care, not proactive or performance-based therapy. Our approach focuses on true recovery, performance, and prevention.

Can I get reimbursed through my insurance? (What is a superbill?)

Yes! We provide a superbill—a detailed receipt with treatment codes—that you can submit to your insurance if your plan includes out-of-network benefits. Many PPO plans offer partial reimbursement. We’re happy to walk you through it. (Video explanation coming soon!)

Do you only work with people in their homes?

While most clients love the convenience of home visits, I’ve also worked in corporate offices, corporate gyms, and even outdoor spaces. If you have a preferred location, just let me know—we’ll make it work.

What areas do you serve?

We currently offer mobile physical therapy throughout San Diego County, including:

• Downtown

• Ocean Beach

• Point Loma

• Pacific Beach

• Hillcrest

• Coronado

• Bay Ho

• Carmel Valley

• Scripps Ranch

• La Jolla

• UTC

• Rancho Santa Fe

If you’re outside this area, reach out—we may still be able to help or offer a virtual option.

What should I expect during my first session?

Your first session includes:

• A full movement and functional assessment

• NeuFit screening (if applicable)

• Hands-on therapy and/or exercises to start with

• Personalized plan of care with exercises

• Time for your questions, goals, and expectations Every session is 60 minutes and completely one-on-one

How much space do I need in my home? Clean house?

Not much at all. A small clear space is plenty. I’ve worked in living rooms, offices, patios—you name it. As long as you can move safely, we can make it work.

Clean house? Absolutely not. Clear a small space, and we’re good to go.

No equipment is necessary. I bring everything I need including weights, mobility tools, and NeuFit device. If you have your own equipment, I’m happy to integrate it into our sessions.

How often should I book sessions?

It depends on your body, your goals, and your timeline. Most clients benefit from 2x/week for faster results, but some also thrive with weekly or bi-weekly maintenance sessions. We’ll discuss what’s best for you during your free consultation.

Do you work with people who aren’t injured but want to move better or feel stronger?

Yes! I love working with active adults, high performers, and anyone who wants to stay strong, mobile, and pain-free as they age. You don’t need to be in pain to benefit from 1:1 physical therapy and NeuFit.

Do you offer wellness or performance-based care?

Definitely. Many clients continue working with me after injury recovery to improve strength, mobility, balance, or nervous system regulation. I also offer maintenance sessions and movement coaching even if you’re not in pain.

What is NeuFit, and do I have to use it?

NeuFit is an advanced electrical stimulation therapy I use with many clients to accelerate healing and improve mobility. It’s completely safe, FDA-cleared, and customized to your body. If it’s not the right fit for you, no problem—I have plenty of other tools in my toolkit.

I’ve tried physical therapy before and it didn’t help. How are you different?

Most traditional clinics give you 30 minutes of time, hand you a sheet of exercises, and send you on your way. I work one-on-one, for a full hour, using advanced tools like NeuFit and personalized care that meets you where you are—literally and figuratively.

Do you offer virtual sessions?

Yes! While hands-on work is done in person, I also offer virtual movement coaching and accountability for clients seeking ongoing support, rehab programming, or maintenance care. Ask about our hybrid packages.

Will it hurt?

Most clients are surprised by how gentle—but effective—our sessions are. You might feel challenged in a good way, but never pushed into pain. This isn’t bootcamp—it’s body wisdom and nervous system reset.

Can I cancel or reschedule an appointment?

Absolutely—life happens. I ask for at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or reschedules so I can offer your time slot to someone else. No-shows or last-minute cancellations may be subject to a fee.

Still have questions?

No problem—just call or text me directly at 📞 (619) 800-8715.
